YouTube Creator Awards

YouTube Creator Awards are our way of recognizing the extraordinary effort creators put into their growing channels and to build thriving communities, responsibly. To be eligible for a Creator Award, creators need to meet the eligibility criteria and must comply with our policies.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for a Creator Award, you need to meet the following guidelines:

• Pass a specific subscriber milestone:
  • Silver: When you reach 100,000 subscribers
  • Gold: When you reach 1,000,000 subscribers
  • Diamond: When you reach 10,000,000 subscribers
  • Red Diamond: When you reach 100,000,000 subscribers
• Your channel is active (has uploads within the last 6 months).
• You haven't received a recent Community Guidelines strike.
• You’re in compliance with YouTube’s Terms of Service.
• You haven’t been suspended from the YouTube Partner Program.
• Your channel isn’t terminated or linked to an account that has been terminated.
• You don’t have content that is deceptive, spammy, or a scam.
• Your main content is original. Channels that focus on compilations, mixes, curation, or heavy use of someone else's copyrighted content or characters may be ineligible.

You don’t have to be a member of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) to be eligible for an award. Creator Awards are given at YouTube's discretion. Each channel is carefully reviewed to make sure the criteria is met. 

Creator Awards are for personal use only, and may not be sold or distributed to anyone outside of your channel team members. If you violate this policy, you may be subject to disciplinary action.

Disciplinary actions can include:

• Forfeiture of the award
• Ineligibility for future awards
• Possible termination of your YouTube or Google account

You can see if you’re eligible to receive a Creator Award by giving us a few details. If you’re eligible, we can guide you on how you can receive your award. Click the button below to begin your eligibility check.

Redeem a Creator Award

Once you’ve met our award criteria, we will send you a redemption code. Follow the steps below to redeem your award. 

To redeem your award:

1. Use the redemption code we sent you.
2. If you’ve misplaced that redemption code, visit our Creator Award eligibility page to retrieve your redemption code.
3. Go to the Creator Awards redemption website and enter your code.
4. Enter your shipping info and specify how you want your channel name to appear on the award.
5. Select “Order Now” to finish redeeming your award.

If you’re located in Brazil or India, you’ll be asked for extra info such as a tax ID when redeeming your Creator Award. This info is required by the relevant customs offices.

Shipping and delivery

After you submit your shipping info and redeem your award, we’ll deliver it to you within approx. 2-3 weeks. To make sure your award gets to you on time, note the following:

• Don’t forget to use your full legal name when submitting shipping info. This helps in case you have to pick it up from a customs or delivery office.
• You’ll get an email containing a tracking number once your award has shipped. 
• You’re responsible to get back to any contact made by a delivery company that requests more documentation or info from you. This may help your award pass through customs or be delivered to you.
• You’re responsible to pay any customs duties and/or taxes that are required in certain countries/regions. Legally, YouTube can’t cover these costs. These countries include: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
• If you don’t get back to a delivery company, your Creator Award may be returned or lost. In these cases, you may have to purchase a replacement if you want to get your Creator Award.

Purchasing More Awards

While only one award is given per channel per milestone at no charge, you or your team can buy more awards. Get in touch with youtubecreator@societyawards.com using the email associated with your YouTube Channel. Your channel and award level may be reviewed again before more awards can be purchased.

Creator Award FAQs

I met one of the subscriber milestones. Why haven’t I gotten a notification about my Creator Award?

Before an award can be issued, YouTube will review the channel to ensure it meets all eligibility criteria. If you reached a subscriber milestone in the last week, your channel’s eligibility for a Creator Award is likely still under review as our reviews can take up to 30 days.

I got a notification, but I can’t find the redemption code. Where can I find it?

If you got a notification in YouTube Studio, but can’t find the code (or dismissed it), follow the prompts on our Creator Awards eligibility page to get your redemption code.

Once you have your redemption code, go to the Creator Awards redemption website to redeem your award.

I redeemed my Creator Award, when will it be delivered?

After redeeming your award, you will automatically receive an Order Confirmation email to confirm your order and a Tracking email when your award ships. Refer to your Tracking email to confirm the status and delivery date of your award.

Here are some common issues:

• There may be delays in the fulfillment process due to higher-than-expected redemption volumes.
• You may not have given complete or correct shipping info to permit delivery. Look out for an email from us if that’s the case.
• There may be delays in the shipping process, due to issues such as customs clearances, inclement weather, or high holiday volume.

I redeemed my Creator Award, but I haven’t gotten it yet?

If your Creator Award hasn’t been delivered yet, try the following:

1. Check the shipping status using the tracking number emailed to you in your shipping confirmation email and complete all requested documentation. 
2. Get in touch with the delivery service to see if any further info or documents are required of you.

Can I sell or auction my award for profit?

No. Creator Awards are for personal use only, and may not be sold or distributed to anyone outside of your channel team members. Creators found in violation of this policy may be subject to disciplinary action.

Disciplinary actions can include:

• Forfeiture of the award
• Ineligibility for future awards
• Possible termination of your YouTube or Google Account

My Creator Award arrived, but it was damaged. Can you replace it?

Creator Awards are handmade and may be subject to small imperfections and inconsistencies that are the normal result of the manufacturing process. YouTube is not responsible for these minor flaws, nor for awards that get minor damage during the shipping process.

Why am I being asked to pay customs duties and taxes?

Certain countries/regions require payment of customs duties and/or taxes for a Creator Award to be delivered. Legally, YouTube is not able to cover these costs. These include:

• Armenia
• Azerbaijan
• Belarus
• Kyrgyzstan
• Moldova
• Russia
• Ukraine
• Uzbekistan

I am an artist with an Official Artist Channel. Am I eligible for a Creator Award?

As an Official Artist Channel (OAC), you’ll receive a Creator Award when you meet a subscriber milestone and the eligibility requirements outlined at the top of this page. Only one complimentary award is given per artist and per milestone.

If you previously had a related auto-generated topic channel or partner-provided channel that received an award, you won’t receive that award again when your subscriber counts are merged with your OAC.
